Our Clinical Services:

Allergy Testing

An allergy is a disease in which the immune system reacts abnormally to an everyday substance (pollen, animal dander, mold spores, mites or certain foods).  Immunotherapy is often recommended rather than prolonged use of certain medications such as steroids. Although these medications may reduce itching, there may be serious side-effects which may decrease the quality and length of your pet's life.

Dentistry

OraVet Barrier Sealant creates an invisible barrier that prevents plaque- and tartar-forming bacteria from attaching to your pet's teeth.  Starting two weeks after your pet’s dental cleaning, apply OraVet Plaque Prevention Gel once a week to maintain the barrier we establish during your pet's dental prophylaxis.

Emergency Services

Dr. Norton has extensive experience in emergency medicine.  Our team is capable of handling any emergency that may arise during normal business hours.

For after-hours emergencies, please contact the

Calumet Emergency Veterinary Clinic (219) 865-0970.

Bardens Animal clinic is a member of the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center’s Veterinary Lifeline Partner Program.  The Veterinary Lifeline Partner Program affords veterinary clinics immediate access to specially trained and board-certified veterinary toxicologists.

Laser Surgery

Laser surgery is safer and more comfortable for patients—reducing bleeding, swelling and post-operative pain. Patients and pet owners value improved recovery and shorter hospital stays.

Nutrition

We feed and recommend Hill's Science and Prescription Diets.  Proper nutrition plays an important role in your overall health and well being, and the same goes for your pet.  Hill's strives for the optimal balance of nutrients to meet your pet's needs.

Preventative Medicine

We believe the best pet is a healthy pet.  However, not all pets are created equal.  We work hard to assemble a wellness plan catered to your pet's specific healthcare needs.
